Our unique state-of-the-art technology enables us to provide a fullness of sound that previously was only available from a much larger band. Each of the four members of CENTER STAGE  invites you to take a moment to learn about their own individual musical history.

Frank Bonanno

Frank brings over twenty years of professional experience to CENTER STAGE , a group he formed in 1989. An extremely versatile musician, he has played with a number of leading performers, including Johnny Mathis, Gladys Knight, Wayne Newton, The 4 Tops, The Temptations and Ben Vereen. His extensive knowledge of synthesizers, MIDI sequencers, vocal technique and music arranging contributes to the band's signature sound and faithful re-creations of your favorite songs. An enthusiastic and dedicated leader, Frank takes great pride in delivering the highest quality music for your special day.

Jean Peterson

Jean has performed for audiences in the Boston area for over twenty years, specializing in gospel, R&B, jazz and pop. A native of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, she moved to Boston at the age of six, performing with her brothers and sisters in their group, The Phillips Family. She also studied piano at the New England Conservatory, and voice from private instructors. Since then, her powerful mezzo has taken her to the stages of the Wang Center, The Opera House, The Hatch Shell and various recording studios around Boston. Although Jean's drive and talent comes through on every piece she sings, it is her love for people that sets her apart, and the desire to touch their hearts through music.

George Doolittle

George has played professionally in the greater Boston area, as well as nationally and internationally, for over twenty years. With roots in blues and R&B, he feels equally at home playing rock or jazz. He has performed with well-known New England performer Didi Stewart and also with The Radicals, an internationally known pop/R&B group from the Boston area. George has toured with The Platters in the U.S. and Canada, and with Atlanta blues artist Lots O Papa. Whether playing a smoking guitar solo or delivering strong lead or backup vocals, his enthusiasm and love of music comes through during each performance.

Joe Galeota

A seasoned performer with thirty years of experience playing all styles of music, Joe provides the rhythmic beat that gets you on your feet. He also rounds out the vocal section with his strong tenor. Joe shares his expertise and love of the drums by teaching percussion at Boston's Berklee College of Music and by offering drum and percussion clinics at many schools and colleges throughout New England and the U.S. As owner and founder of JAG Drums, a manufacturer of African percussion, he made many of the drums for the musical The Lion King. Whether it's classic rock, top 40 or swing that makes you want to get up and dance, Joe's high-energy drumming is guaranteed to keep you moving -- it's the heartbeat of CENTER STAGE !
